take me all the way

You wouldn’t know it from the lack of knitting content here, but there was a lot of knitting & quite a few finished objects this summer. Taking a cue from Mindy, a short & sweet rundown of (most of) them

Ishbel
First up – my first Ishbel. (note: all pattern links will be Ravelry links.)
Yarn: Sunshine Yarns Twist Sock Yarn in Earth Triple Dye. This yarn tried to be socks, but never worked out. So it became a shawl, which was perfect for it.
Started May 12, finished May 22, 2009.
Needles: Size 6

YIP 102.365 Bandit
Next up, the Springtime Bandit.
Yarn: Malabrigo Silky Merino in Lettuce. You may remember this yarn from such knitting failures as Clapotis. I used just 2 skeins here, alternating the skeins every 2 rows to even out the color difference that plagued the previous project.
Started July 9, finished July 25, 2009.
Needles: Size 7 (bound off with size 9)

Zoot's Mitts
Continuing on, Zoot’s Mitts from Annie’s Fingerless Mitts pattern (more or less – I used her pattern as a template for these).
Yarn: Crafty & Crap Sport Weight in Zoot Skips to the Groove. Given to me by Mindy to test knit for her.
Started February 22, finished August 2, 2009. I actually did the first mitt quickly in February, took the pictures for the test knit, then set them aside for a while. A long while.
Needles: Size 4.

Toast
A quickie – Toast mitts.
Yarn: Plucky Knitter Aran Cashmere in Hazel Eyes. This yarn is fantastically soft and lovely to work with.
Started August 8, finished August 10, 2009.
Needles: Size 7.

YIP 106.365 maybe a little bit softer
Finally (for now) Thermis.
Yarn: HandMaiden Swiss Mountain Cashmere & Silk, Rose, 1.5 skeins (yarn held double).
Started: August 11, Finished August 16, 2009.
Needles: Size 6.

There is one final project to discuss, but it will get its own post later in the week.
